MURCON is short for Murphy Consulting, Inc. MURCON was incorporated in 1994 by Tom Murphy in Atlanta, GA. The company's sole focus at that time was solving business problems by developing database application solutions. Our tag line, "We Make Data Speak Your Language!"

The company took on projects primarily as a subcontractor in the beginning but quickly grew its own portfolio of database solution clients. In 2001 the company moved its operation out into a more rural area of Georgia but close enough to the Atlanta metroplex to benefit from that location. In 2002 things changed.

A small local company approached MURCON to acquire their Internet Marketing (website) accounts. The decision was made quickly to take on the accounts. MURCON's Internet Marketing business was born. It's continuing purpose is to help businesses leverage the power of the Internet to grow their business.

MURCON began offering website design and development services and then internet services for hosting, domain name registration, and a series of other related services. But, clients wanted more ... more traffic to their websites, more leads. Search Engine Marketing -- Primarily Search Engine Optimization -- services were added to the portfolio. Now not only could MURCON help businesses with a great presence on the Internet, but could help draw visitors (and qualified leads) to those websites as well. But, a piece was missing.

Good marketing includes staying in front of customers and prospects to grow your business. Professional broadcast email marketing was the answer. After a considerable amount of research, Constant Contact was contracted with to provide the permission-based, social media integrated email marketing services needed. MURCON became a Constant Contact Solution Provider and later qualified in the Expert Program to not only provide services but conduct "best practices" and product seminars as well. As a Solution Provider MURCON could represent not only Constant Contact's email marketing services but their online survey, event marketing, and just recently added Social Campaigns and SaveLocal services as well.

Other services have been added to include custom Facebook page development and QR Code (Quick Response Code) Marketing services. More will be added as client's demand them and technology provides additional Internet Marketing opportunities.
